These were lockdowns, social distancing, using facemasks and increased hand sanitising. People with chronic respiratory conditions were encouraged to comply with these measures [1]. Furthermore, it was suggested that nebulisation may facilitate the transmission of COVID-19 [2, 3]; therefore, respiratory societies recommended using inhalers where appropriate [2, 4, 5].Respiratory professionals support the continuing use of protective measures for respiratory patients following the #COVID19 pandemic.
